How will it help me?
Much of the time the difficulties we may be experiencing in life have little space for reflection and when we do spend time with ourselves we can get caught up in a circle of negative thoughts and self-criticism adding to feelings of confusion and isolation. Feeling like we can never move forward.
In therapy, we slow down the process of what is happening and uncover the old habitual patterns that we have been repeating - although we know them to be unhelpful. Often when we come to realise our patterns and understand how they emerged and have expressed themselves in our day to day, we can deepen our understanding of 'how we are in the world'. This allows a healthier relationship with ourselves to develop and an 'ease' at being here begins to emerge.
